An all-Australian assault on the World Wheel Driven Land Speed Record. With an output of approximately 5000 horsepower from its two turbo charged V12 engines, the Project Vehicle is the most powerful automobile ever constructed. Its target is the long standing World Land Speed Record of 428 M.P.H. This record is currently held by Al Teague who broke the 30 year record previously held by the American Summers brothers. The aim is to bring the record back to Australia with the record raised to around 450 M.P.H. (720 km-h).
It has been our intention from the outset not only to build the fastest automobile in the world, but also to actively promote L.S.R. world wide. The fantastic media and public interest value is present in its unique history which has built an enormous World wide fan base that has grown over the last 11 years .The human challenge it brings forth to the future as speed keeps rising to limits we never thought possible - over 500 M.P.H. for a wheel driven vehicle, 400 M.P.H. for a motor cycle, and the elusive 800 M.P.H. for the unlimited jet cars. It involves all facets of human endeavor - physical, financial, engineering, managerial, and requires total dedication as the majority of projects are designed and built by the driver and crew.
